We chose the existing production company "Hammer Productions" for our film. This meant the most sense as this company specialises in action/horror films which matches our genre. It is also a British company giving it a more British feel. Famous films that have been produced by this company are films like "The woman in black" and "The Mummy". The Hammer Horror films were often praised by critics for their visual style which is very useful for us as we want to capture a mysterious and dark look throughout the film.
We have chosen Warner Bros as our distributor has previously worked with Hammer Productions prior to this, so that means they are able to work together very well and produce a successful film out of it. Warner Bros is a multi-national film company and is good as it will be able to reach a much wider audience. They have done successful horror type films for example The Conjuring and Annabelle. Warner Bros is a fully integrated, broad-based entertainment company and it's studio is home to one of the most successful collections of brands in the world and stands at the forefront of every aspect of the entertainment industry from feature film. 2015 marked the ninth consecutive year Warner Bros Pictures crossed the $3 billion mark at the global box office with $3.71 billion in worldwide receipts
