Construction Post 22: Our main shoot session

Issues

Our actress on the day couldn't show up and so our group was left panicked and stressed etc. because of this, I had to act in the main shoot however I did not have the script memorised and so the recording has me looking to the left throughout my speech creating an unprofessional scene making it lose its authenticity. 
Here below, is a part of the scene. 

To improve this scene I would have memorised the script so that it would be as authentic as possible

Another issue would be the lighting error, where the antagonist opens the laptop, and as a result the camera focused on it and darkened everything else around the laptop, making it look pitch black even though it was around midday.

To improve this scene I would have made sure that the blinds were open so that a lot of light was entering the room as it is better to have the room very light than very dark as thinks can be made to look sinister through editing.

What went well?

As the group knew exactly what to do because of the test edit, filming was made very easy as we knew what to expect etc. overall, this meant that the process to produce some of the scenes were a lot more fast paced than in the test edit.

We filmed the scene at location 3 on the Thursday before our test edit so that we could use the footage; this meant that editing needed to take place on Friday. Sailesh done this very quickly and efficiently and with the help of the media technician got it onto the laptop (on of our props).

Working with our actor Hector at location 3 went very well and smoothly, we only took 3 takes and each one was perfect. This was mainly because the main shoot was a lot more organised and clear. Also Hector had a more appropriate costume in terms of a news anchor making it all seem very believable.
