How did the test shoot go?
Process of filming: everything went well, due to good preparation within the group. We had excellent engagement from our actors also. we were all very professional and were inputting ideas to make the opening sequence better, one topic of discussion was the lighting, the room in which we were filming had a lot of light due to the thin curtains and the time of day and as a group we figured out how to deal with that, trying to make it look as 'dark' and 'sinister' as it could be. However, we underestimated how much time to allocate to the outdoor shots, we didn't consider people being around the area and talking loudly, this affected us time wise resulting in us re-filming those shots multiple times.
How could we make it better?
Overall feelings: Although the test shoot went well at the
time, the scene overall was average
mainly due to the threat not being very obvious, this was a let-down because
that was the selling point (and climax scene) of the film. Our test shoot
helped us uncover any flaws that we missed in previous stages and because of
this we were able to make necessary changes in order to make our real shoot as
good as it could possibly be. And since we were treating it like a real shoot
we created a shoot board, which would make sure everything was going smoothly

Criticisms from staff: Our idea to have a close up of someone walking past the camera after it fell to create a sense of mystery and danger failed due to poor framing and lack of time, this meant that the audience wasn't able to see the feet first time. Therefore, we will have to be more diligent about our framing in the main shoot and add more shots to slow it down. The script wasn't detailed enough with factual evidence - didn't have a news report feel and so myself and Laith revised it, making it snappier and factual. Also, the scene where the news reporter goes missing happened too fast which meant that the audience didn't have enough time to register what was going on. To deal with this, we deliberated as a group on how to give that scene more clarity and afterwards I added shots to the storyboard.

What went well?
I believe that one of the things we done well were the continuity shots, nothing seems out of place and the actors actions are very clear.
The mood for our antagonist went well, the low hood, the 'dark' atmosphere and no dialogue definitely added to the effect of a thriller horror movie
